Explorer Post 955 is a program designed for young people between the ages of 14-21. It gives the opportunity for youths to explorer a career in the fire service. It is sponsored by "Learning for Life - Exploring" and CDF / San Mateo County Fire. Explorers gain valuable training and experience by working with paid professional fire fighters. They learn fire service required skills such as CPR, First Aid, Use of fire equipment & tools, fire control, auto extrication, and how to become a firefighter.
