Course Title: RIC: Rapid Intervention Crew
Course Description: This course teaches basic rescue and self-survival techniques for firefighters. Students will
study past cases involving firefighter entrapments and will actively participate in practical skills.

Target Audience: CAL FIRE/County Fire Personnel
Cost: Free to CZU San Mateo-Santa Cruz County Fire Personnel, Volunteers, Reserves, and PCFs.
Pre-Requisites: Volunteers must have completed Safety and Orientation.
Class Size: Minimum 12 - Maximum 24
Meals: Lunch will NOT be provided. Due to the remote location of the Training Center, it is advised that
you bring a bag lunch.
Attire: Personnel shall meet with CDF required grooming standards. Dress for the class will be work attire, which is appropriate for public contact and in a state of good repair. No shorts, tank tops, sandals, etc., will be allowed. Structure PPE and SCBA required.
