Course Title: Pump Ops
Course Description: This course provides the student with the information, theory, methods, and techniques for operating fire service pumps. Subjects include: Types of pumps, engine and pump gauges, maintenance, unsafe pumping conditions, pressure relief devices, cooling systems, water supplies, drafting, field hydraulics, and pumping operations.

Target Audience: CAL FIRE/County Fire Personnel - Company officers, training officers, and senior fire fighters who serve as incidents commanders at initial response incidents.
Cost: Free to CZU San Mateo-Santa Cruz County Fire Personnel, Volunteers, Reserves, and PCFs.
Pre-Requisites: Preventative Maintenance (Driver or Engineer), Volunteer FFI
Class Size: Minimum 10 - Maximum 25
Meals: Lunch will NOT be provided.
Attire: Attire will be appropriate for automotive work. This is a “hands-on” class; please dress in the appropriate work attire.
No shorts, tank tops, sandals, etc., will be allowed.
