Course Title: Basic Firefighter Academy: Haz Mat FRO/Decon/Confined Space
Course Description: This course is designed to help students gain an improved capability to respond to Haz Mat events in a safe and competent manner, within the typical limited response resources and responder capabilities at the “Operations” level. This course also introduces students to decontamination procedures as well as the codes and procedures required in order to deal with confined space rescues.

Target Audience: CAL FIRE/County Fire Personnel
Cost: Free to CZU San Mateo-Santa Cruz County Fire Personnel, Volunteers, Reserves, and PCFs.
Pre-Requisites: Volunteers must have completed the Safety and Orientation class and be able to perform proficiently with SCBA.
Testing will be done at the beginning of class the first day. 
Class Size: Minimum 10 - Maximum 25
Meals: Lunch will NOT be provided.
Attire: Personnel shall meet with CDF required grooming standards. Dress for the class will be civilian attire. Attire will be appropriate for public contact and in a state of good repair. No shorts, tank tops, sandals, etc., will be allowed.
