Course Title: Commanding the Initial Response
Course Description: This NFA hand-off course is designed to give the participant the information and skills necessary to establish command, perform size-up, develop and implement an action plan, transfer command and organize an incident using an effective fire ground management system.

Target Audience: CAL FIRE/County Fire Personnel - Company officers, training officers, and senior fire fighters who serve as incidents commanders at initial response incidents.
Cost: Free to CZU San Mateo-Santa Cruz County Fire Personnel, Volunteers, Reserves, and PCFs.
Pre-Requisites: Safety & Orientation
Class Size: Minimum 10 - Maximum 25
Meals: Lunch will NOT be provided.
Attire: Attire will be appropriate for public contact and in a state of good repair. No shorts, tank tops,
sandals, etc., will be allowed.
