Course Title: Auto Extrication
Course Description:

This State Fire Marshall FSTEP course provides students with hands-on experience in the procedures and systems utilized during an automobile extrication. Subjects covered include: Auto extrication size-up, types of incidents, safety precautions, ICS for auto extrication, types of hand and power tools, removing windows, opening doors, removing roofs, pulling steering wheels, moving foot pedals, raising dashboards, pulling seats, stabilization of vehicles, and simulated rescues of trapped victims.

Cost: Free to CZU San Mateo-Santa Cruz County Fire Personnel, Volunteers, Reserves, and PCFs.
Pre-Requisites: Volunteers must have completed Safety & Orientation.
Class Size: Minimum 10 - Maximum 40
Meals: Lunch will NOT be provided. Due to the remote location of the Training Center,
it is recommended that you bring drinks, lunch, and snacks with you.
Attire: Full Structure PPE is required. (No Nomex) Approved eye protection is required.
No shorts, tank tops, sandals, etc., will be allowed.
